Entry 4

This is my final entry as a worker at Mr. Oldacres Mill. I'm fourteen years old and I was fired. I was fired because I got sick and missed a day. I caught pneumonia from my partner at my station. I showed up for work, still sick, went to my station and there was someone else running it. Well, I'll just have to find another job and keep contributing to my family.

Entry 3

Its been a month since I've started working for the mill. I have the worst cold because its December and I can't stop working or else they'll fire me and I have to keep working so I can help my family. I don't know how much longer I can do this, I'm getting sicker by the day.

Entry 2

Its been two weeks since I have started working at the factory and I can't remember the last time I ate lunch or got eight hours of sleep, now that I',m working over hours. Well, I least I'm not like Jimmy, that poor kid was fired because he got his hand caught in the machine. I hope everything works out for him.

Entry 1

Today was my first day at my job working at Mr. Oldacres Mill spinning yarn. After today, I don't know how long myself, a twelve year old boy, can last without breakfast and lunch. It is safe to say those were the twelve longest hours of my life. I just hope that things get better for my family so that I don't have to work so hard.
