The Atomic Bomb was a key element within World War II that had a direct impact on the United States and Japan. After finding out about the terrible situation that my father faced, my mother also reported to the coalmines with my sisters and I in order to finically stay stable. The boss escorted me down a long dark path with led to tons of steel tubs full of coal. He ordered me to undress. I was shocked at such a request. Once we arrived at the coal pit, my mother spoke to the boss who ran the mine. He told her that he had many job opportunities for kids because they were the only ones who could fit through the small passageways. While my mother was not too excited about sending us into a dangerous job, she was relieved that our family was finally going to receive some economic relief.
